| Biohydrogen Projects Hyvolution The aim was to develop a blue print for a hydrogen from biomass plant. Biomass is converted to fermentable feedstock which is processed to hydrogen by dark and photofermentation. The hydrogen gas is upgraded to fuel cell specifications. Cost reduction is addressed through system integration. HYVOLUTION's starting date is Jan 1st 2006, ending is at Dec 31 st 2010. Read more by clicking on the link at the top. Hydrogen from Biomass II This project (BWP II) was the second phase of the Dutch EET project HYDROGEN FROM BIOMASS (BWP I). The objective was to increase productivity from hydrolysates of lignocellulosic biomass and potato steam peels to produce hydrogen for fuel cells. -> Final Report BWPII (in English) Biohydrogen The main objective of this EU FP 5 project was the production of hydrogen from Sweet Sorghum and paper sludge employing (hyper)thermophilic and photoheterotrophic microorganisms. The focus was on optimizing microbial physiology and genetics. Hydrogen from Biomass This Dutch EET project (BWP I) aimed at the production of hydrogen from Miscanthus hydrolysates and potato steam peels. The focus was on optimizing processtechnology for maximum productivity. Waterstof Wageningen This Dutch project was a feasibility study addressing the production of biohydrogen and methane from potentially available biomass in the region Wageningen, for the production of 'green' electricity, heat and gas (in Dutch) | The International Association of Hydrogen Energy (IAHE) Go to the Biohydrogen Division Intranet (Members only) The Netherlands Biohydrogen Network Biohydrogen Network website Researchers involved in basic and applied aspects of biological H2 and CH4 production participate in the Netherlands Biohydrogen Network. The objectives are to promote (inter)national exchange and R&D co-operation, and to provide expertise for government & the market sector. - Netherlands Biohydrogen Network publishes book - Environmental Technology - Food & Bioprocess Engineering - Agrotechnology and Food Sciences - Laboratory of Microbiology |
