General information about ATO
The Agrotechnological Research Institute ATO was founded in 1989. The institute comprises a staff of approximately 500 research workers, including 250 scientists. ATO is an organisation for fundamental and applied-scientific research for agriculture and horticulture, trade and export and for the industries manufacturing food and non-food products on the basis of agro-raw materials.
The target of the institute's multidisciplinary research is to enhance the added value of agroproducts and to develop new technologies, applications and markets for agro-raw materials. In three key issues the institute covers the whole production and distribution column, from the primary raw material up to and including the half-finished and end-products. ATO's key activities are:

The Agrotechnological Research Institute works with tailor-made contract research and the institute's customers include chemical industries, agriculture and horticulture, trade, the car industry, the paper industry and the food processing industry all over the world.
